We offer the following services for your small business
or home office:
Network Installation and Maintenance
If your business has more than one computer, chances
are you could benefit from networking them. A local area
network (LAN) connects your company's computers, allowing
them to share and exchange a variety of information. While
one computer can be useful on its own, several networked
computers can be much more useful.
A network (either wired or wireless) increases the usefulness
of your home or small office computers in the following
ways:
- File Sharing
- Printer, Scanner and Fax Sharing
- Internet Connection Sharing
- Low Cost Digital Entertainment Gateway
- Multi player Gamming
- Entertainment Gateway
Wireless is rapidly gaining in popularity for both home
and business networking. Wireless technology continues to
improve, and the cost of wireless products continues to
decrease. Popular wireless local area networking (WLAN)
products conform to the 802.11 "Wi-Fi" standards.
You should consider building a wireless network for the
following reasons:
- Computer mobility. Notebook computers
and other portable devices are much affordable than they
were a few years ago. With a mobile computer and wireless
home or office network, you aren't chained to a network
cord and can work on the couch, on your porch, or wherever
in the house or office that is most convenient at the
moment.
- No unsightly wires. Large Businesses
can afford to lay cable under their floors or inside walls.
But most all of us don't have the time or inclination
to fuss with this in our home or small office. Even if
you own one of the newer homes pre-wired with network
cable, you'll save substantial time and energy avoiding
the cabling mess and going wireless.
- Wireless is the future. Wireless technology
is clearly the future of networking. In building a wireless
home office network, you will be better prepared for future
advances in network technology.
The gear required to build wireless networks includes network
adapters (NICs), access points (APs), and routers. We install
and configure your wireless home office or small office network
and train you to use it efficiently.
Business
Software
We install, configure, and train
you on usage of variety of business software packages including
accounting and book keeping, word processor, spread sheet,
project manager, email client, customer relation management,
graphics design, and CAD. Please contact

Computer Security and Defense
Adware and spyware are a growing nuisance and threat. They
hijack your browser, pop up undesired ads, redirect you
to unsavory sites, and even monitor your behavior for potentially
malicious purposes. The malwares slow down your computers
and internet connection considerably. So it's no surprise
that anti spyware is becoming an essential component of
your desktop security arsenal.
Other essential components of desktop security are antivirus
software, firewall software, firewall hardware, and antispam
software.
Just having locks on your door isn't enough, you actually
have to lock them, too, and let only the right people in.
If your security software applications aren't configured
correctly, your computer isn't locked down, and anyone could
get in.
We install a complete security suit of applications for
your computers and correctly configure all its components.
The result is better up time and more profit for your business.
Data Backup and Recovery
Many people underestimate the value
of the data contained on their computers, believing the
most valuable part is its hardware. Consider for a moment
the loss of revenue due to reentering a year's worth of
data, the inability to track and bill outgoing services
or products, or the inability to access your client database
or financial records.
Most companies do not adequately plan
for a disaster. In the event of a disaster, time and energy
is spent planning for full recovery instead of implementing
the recovery. It is a good idea, I think, to save your work
every half-hour or so when using a PC. The computer might
crash, and your work is not safe until it is on your hard
disk.
Well, hard disks can crash too - not
so often, but it does happen - and losing hundreds of megabytes
of data can be very traumatic. So, you must back up your
hard disk regularly.
Although backups are time consuming,
difficult and tedious, they are necessary evils with today's
technology. Because today's personal computers are so reliable,
you may be lulled into a false sense of security. Make
no mistake -- hard drives crash, viruses can infect
your system and destroy your data, human errors can reek
havoc on your business, and a thief can simply steal your
computer and it's data goes with it!
Backup vs. archiving
It's important to understand the difference between backup
and archiving. A backup preserves a snapshot of your hard
disk or network volume (or selected folders on them). It
is an insurance policy. It means that if you loose the working
copy of an important file then you can at least go back
to the version preserved in the backup.
Clearly the frequency of the backup will
determine how useful the backup copy is; backing up on a
weekly basis is of little use if you are frantically updating
an important contract and keeping track of a large project.
An archive preserves files that you
no longer need on a short-term basis. By putting them in
an archive you can then liberate space on your hard disk
(or network volume) but you can always extract them from
the archive if the need arises. An archive needs careful
management.
We asses your backup needs and help you
implement a backup, archival, and disaster recovery policy
suited to your small business needs utilizing our economical
EZ Backup System.

Email and Web Connectivity
Email is a great communication tool and a very important
part of a small business internet strategy. Customers prefer
email communication to phone calls as they can get more
precise information and communicate easier.
Email is cheaper and faster than a letter, less intrusive
than a phone call, less hassle than a FAX. Using email,
differences in location and time zone are less of an obstacle
to communication. There is also evidence that email leads
to a more egalitarian information structure.
Because of these advantages, customers and vendors prefer
email communication to letter, phone call or fax.
We setup email boxes, email client software, calendar, and
customer relation management programs then train you to
use them efficiently for all your email needs.
We also setup electronic advertising campaign and electronic
news letter system for your marketing needs.

age. As more powerful software packages arrive in the market
the need for hardware upgrades increases. In the event of
hardware failure or upgrade requirements we are just a phone
call away.
